Can you try Dessa Voice AI?
Not yet, for most people. As of October 26, 2026, you can listen to official recordings, and a small group of AI safety researchers can get early access. There is no public app, download, API, pricing, or release date.

Talk to Dessa myself
Not announcedThere is no public app, website, or sign-up to talk to Dessa. Block’s page says “launch links are coming soon” but gives no date.

LimitedBlock is giving early access to a small group of AI safety researchers. The “get in touch” link in that section of Block’s page opens a request form asking for your name, an institutional (university, company, or lab) email, and optionally a Google Scholar or blog link. Block hasn’t published how many researchers it will accept or how requests are reviewed.

Not announcedBlock’s page says Dessa runs locally on a MacBook Pro M4 Max or better, and shows a “Download” button. That button is a placeholder: it points to the note that launch links are coming soon. No download file, model weights, or license have been published.

Be careful with “Download Dessa” offers
Since Block hasn’t published a download or app, a site offering a Dessa installer, APK, or paid access is not an official Block channel. Check claims against Block’s Dessa page before you download anything or pay. (DessaGuide doesn’t offer Dessa access either.)
